I found this going through an old notebook. I'm not sure where I intended to go with it, or if I even knew, but I still kinda like it.

When he is honest with himself - which happens far more than a 24-year-old single malt should allow - he misses his time of exile from Angel Investigations. There was a certain freedom in embracing is punishment. He had never measured up to his father's lofty ideals. Indeed, had been pathetic in is attempts to be the son Roger Wyndham-Price wanted.

He should have know it was only a matter of time before he disappointed Angel, just like he disappointed Father. He thought betrayal and disappointment balanced the scales between Father and Angel though. He was his father's biggest disappointment and Angel's biggest betrayal.

Except, he'd been right in the end about Angel and Connor.
