It's been a while since I posted, obviously, so here are some random
stray thoughts mostly.
If you like off the wall, strange movies, you must see Bubba Ho-tep. Bruce Campbell plays Elvis who switched places with an Elvis impersonator who died before he could switch back, which he didn't really want to do anyway. Switch back, not die. Elvis is now living in a rest home in east Texas with John F. Kennedy, played by Ossie Davis. Kennedy didn't really die in Dallas, but has had a portion of his brain replaced with a bag of sand and dyed black to complete the cover up. Anyway, they team up to fight an Egyptian mummy who is killing residents of the nursing home. Not for everyone, but if you like odd, this is it.
I am teaching a friend how to knit and it took forever to convince her that she might want to actually make like a scarf or something to practice on. I know I do better if I'm working on an actual project instead of just practicing, 'cause I get bored pretty easy.
I'm also working on trying to put together a web site for my office. I worked on one a couple of years ago for my church and for me to be honest. It's definitely time to update the church's site. Not that we have any vistors, but you never know. Durkee UMC is what we have up now, but the pastor information is out of date and will be even more so in a few weeks and we have other things going on now. If you take a look, let me know what you think would be a nice addition to the site. I've already got some ideas of my own, like maybe a Live Journal site for the church as an easy way to update information.
