Kirby's gone. She went into cardiac arrest three times. The third time my wonderful boss and I were on our way there to talk to the doctors about her treatment. Proceed or let her go is need be.

Jackie better take damn good care of my dog.

So sorry to hear about the losses of both Jackie and Kirby, two beloved friends. It's such a shame that they were both taken so unexpectedly. I liked your Greek toast for the New Year (even if it wasn't in Greek!) It's been such a long time since we've talked each other; please accept all best wishes for your writing and your happiness.

Oddly enough, until Jackie and Kirby, everything was going well. And it still is really. I just don't know why this had to happen to Kirby. I know there really isn't a why and deserve doesn't play into anything, good or bad, but I still want her here. Both of them actually. But I do know she's in heaven and a friend has suggested that maybe Jackie is teaching Kirby to sing. Or at least howl in time with the beat.

Maybe my baby nephew is playing with Kirby in Heaven! I know God loves his four legged creations just about as much as He loves his 2 legged ones. Maybe more.. they haven't screwed up as much!
