Just to let everyone who's interested know, my week has improved tremendously. Or at least my attitude has. Things have just gotten to the point where you have to laugh. Nothing else is an option.
I got my letter confirming my appointment with the appeals board. But far more interesting is the fact that the gentleman who signed the letter is the husband of the woman who had my job before me. One of my bosses is planning on calling her early next week to see there's anything she can do. I've contacted my city council person's office and someone in the office of the council person at large who deals with the housing committee. So that's all under control. At least for the moment.
Also called the probate court and my paperwork was approved on June 17th. At least something is going right.
I've always said that God has a sense of humor and occasionally I'm His favorite punchline. Early Friday morning, like 1:00am early, the chain thingie on my toilet broke. It's plastic. Did they really think it wouldn't break at some point? Granted, a minor annoyance in the greater scheme of things, but still. When I picked up the mail coming home yesterday, what was waiting in my mail box but a jury summons. See? Ya just gotta laugh.

Thanks for the support though. It really does mean a lot. Hope the writing picks up soon. I'm working on a Buffy fic I'm planning to start posting July 1st. I've got the prologue and the first chapter done and betaed. The second scene of the second chapter doesn't seem to want to come together. Of course, with everything that's been going on I'm not suprised.
