Okay, I don't actually have a phonograph, but I'm a sucker for alliteration and I do have fic and I need a record player.

spring_with_xan and yesterday was my day. I missed by a few minutes, but no one seems to be holding that against me. Yay me! If you're interested, here it is. I'm very fond of the premise, I must admit. If you follow the link, I hope you enjoy.
Now for the phonograph part. Yesterday, we had a strange, but fun, thing at church. Strange because it was never really defined. It was a combination garage sale, bake sale, moonwalk bouncy thing, hang out and sing karaoke thing. Just our normal regulars who show up for church functions mostly, but a lot of fun. Anything that didn't sell garage sale wise, is being taken to the Salvation Army sometime this week. Because of this one little fact, I ended up buying the New Testament and the Psalms on 45 or 78 records (it's been a while since I've seen anything other than albums. look like 45s to me) that one of the men was selling. The Psalms records were published in 1959 and I haven't checked the New Testament yet. You can tell they've definitely been played by the condition of the covers. It'll be interesting to hear the quality of the recording once I do find a record player.
