works overtime. I've always said this and it was proven true again this past weekend. Had electricity until about about 4am Saturday morning and it was back just before 3pm Saturday. No damage to the house, though my gardenia tree has snapped and I have to make cuttings. There are limbs down and sections of fence around the complex and also around the swimming pool. Some water came in along the window sills, but no flooding at all.

Have to drive into the office today and check on the office cat, but no work til further notice. I'm pretty sure it will be before the end of the week though. Sounds like we have power at the office and I'll know for certain this morning.

I'm glad to hear everyone on my flist in the Houston area came through safely and that the damages weren't as bad as they could have been and prayers for those still without electricity. We ended up without electricity for a week after Alicia. I'm glad I didn't have to do that again.

Doing fine. Actually feel a little guilty about how blessed I've been through all this, but I'll take it. Sorry I've fallen off the face of the earth. It's a thing I do sometimes. How's the project going? Well I hope. Also hope you have/had a good time in Austin.

I understand entirely. I occasionally disappear, too. As for the project... I've been kind of out of touch with it lately because of a number of things, but I'll pick it back up again as soon as this hurricane crap is out of the way!!

Very okay. Like I said above, I'm feeling a little guilty about getting off so easy, though a friend and I drove by my old home where I grew up and at least two trees on our property had fallen, but nothing touched the house. Just so very happy I do not live there any more.
