Watched the Democratic Convention last night. Would never have believed it if you told me, but I actually liked Ron Reagan. Of course, I do support what he was speaking about, so that may have a lot to do with it.

Another interesting speaker was Barack Obama. Very dynamic and composed. I thought he did a wonderful job uniting the diversity that exists by putting it on a very human level. It will be very interesting to see where his career takes him.

On a snarky note, did it look like a lot of the people the cameras were focusing on in the crowd look like they had dropped by from the 70's? Or is everything 70's coming back again?

Drat! It figures that I would live in the city hosting this convention, and have residents offering me tickets to attend various events, but have to work the precise hours that it runs. This kills even the opportunity to watch the speeches on TV.

Oh, who am I kidding? It doesn't interest me enough to tune in. If it accomplishes the task of turning "Anti-Bush" sentiment into "Pro-Kerry," it will do some good. If they can't do that--and I have my doubts--the results will be ugly and President Bush won't be renting a U-Haul in January.
