Does it count as dead last if two other people cross the finish line with you?
Travis,
perspicax, Mamie and I managed to finish the 5K walk on Sunday. I took longer than last year, but considering I didn't do any training for it, I'm not complaining. In a weird way, it felt easier than last year. I guess I wasn't pushing myself as hard and could just enjoy the walk and the company.
Travis, my wonderful, darling, amazing friend, flew down from Boston Saturday morning, walked the 5K Sunday morning and flew out Monday morning and even managed to arrive home on time despite the horrible weather in Boston. I'm not going to use the "s" word just to be on the safe side. We got to hang out and almost went to see Sweeney Todd Sunday night, but tiredness and packing reared their ugly heads and we stayed in and watched DVDs - My Man Godfrey and Die, Mommy, Die, both old favorites.
Check out Travis's LJ for a picture of the medal and links to the pictures he took during the walk.
